It is my party and I will cry if I want to!

We have had a whole lot of this lately. It sure has been rough on all of us!

And, just when we canceled our anniversary dinner plans because Grandpa and Gemma don't need to deal with a none stop crying babe for hours, Miss Faith decides she will be like this....

Haley and Me

Here is my friend Haley. I was supposed to come into the world after Haley, but I decided that I wanted to be first. Haley is 5 weeks younger than me. She is already taller than me though. We had so much fun that it wore us out! Or...well...at least our mommies had fun.

Guest for Dinner

Sometimes I am so cranky that this is how mom has to eat her dinner.

May 4th to July 4th

Faith's birth happened so fast we did not even have a hospital bag packed. So, of course we did not even have a camera. Our doctor is a smart one and carries a camera with her. Thankfully, we had that camera to use so we could get a few pictures of Faith's birth. Our girl has grown and changed so much. She had her after-coming-home-check-up today and weighs 7lbs 4oz. When she was born she weighed 3lbs 4oz. We count our many blessings!

Day 2 At Home

Day 2 and we are starting to settle into a routine...dare I say! Feeding are going so-so. It is a tough call to make at times because with her need to gain weight I can't let her necessarly miss a meal while she gets the hang of things. So, I have settled on offering her nursing with me each feeding and depending on how that goes dictates how much supplement. I have to give her higher cal. formula anyway. At night, I decided to just do the bottle for now because otherwise we would be up all night while she dilly dallies at the breast.
We are still waiting on a poop...been since Thursday. She has graced us with some really, really smelling gas though!
Happy 4th everyone!

Faith's Home

After 7 weeks and 6 days in the hospital, we have all arrived home safe and sound. I have only had a few meltdowns. My first meltdown was when I was trying to figure out how to measure out her supplement feeds and how much she will need. I just did not want to do it "wrong." It was just another reminder that she is still considered a preemie and we are going to have to do extra things for her that others don't have to with full term babies. Faith did great on the ride home from the hospital. I, on the other hand, cried like a baby.
