Return of the Hair Woes

I wish I knew how to edit photos!  Please pay no attention to hubby's neck as the focal point!   Leave me a comment if you want to share any photo editing tips!  What program do you use to edit?   I am completely clueless!

This what happens when I wash Boogie's hair too close to naptime.  No amount of wetting down works.  It only lays back down when I wash her hair again, so in a day it will be back to the usual frizzy.

A Look Back

Here is a picture of my mom, me, and my sister-in-law AND you could almost say my Aunt was in the picture, too.  She is the painted lady on the wall!  LOL!  I never noticed how perfectly we were positioned in the photo for my Aunt to be in it without really being in it.  :}

But, you know what I really notice...the smile on my mom's face.  It completely hit me with a ton of bricks that I had not seen that smile- that authentic smile- in over 3 years.  Little did we all know that in this picture mom had cancer/FULL blown cancer in her body.  Does she look sick?  NO, she had NO symptoms...scary.  Anyway, I digressed a bit......... 

In the 3 1/2 years mom lived with cancer, she never really got "her" smile back.  It was never the same.  I sadly had forgotten the look in my pre-cancer mom's face.  I am thankful for finding this photo the other day and being able to picture her smile again.  :)

I love the life I see in my mom's face...and so thankful she has gotten it back in Heaven!

Seriously, does anyone know how to fold the stupid dumb fitted sheet?!  I have just given up on trying anymore. Hah!  So, here is my usual attempt and then I just put them in the linen closet.

Miss Hannah

Remember this post about Hannah the little girl from China that I sponsored for Christmas in 2009?  Well, she has grown and changed so much and you know what....she is available for adoption!! 

This little girl without even knowning it has touched my heart in many ways.  I pray that her forever family is out there and ready to love her as their own.

10 Months!  Where oh where did the time go!  Miss "I hate tummy time" has finally {almost} accepted it and is starting to scoot...well backwards that is!  Faith loves her food and pretty much doesn't turn a morsel down. :)  She definately loves her Mama and Daddy!  She is beginning to reach out and whines when we move out of view.  We are all so thankful she sleeps well!  We sure are in love with our little Boogie!

The Ministry’s plan to reduce intercountry adoption by 90% is a tragic, unnecessary and a disproportionate reaction to concerns of isolated abuses in the intercountry adoption process.


We support the Ministry’s goal of ensuring ethical adoptions that serve the best interest of children and serve all vulnerable children & families.


We respectfully urge the Ministry to consider the overwhelmingly positive, ethical and legal services provided to children and families through intercountry adoption. Rather than eliminate the right of Ethiopian children to a permanent family, we encourage the Ministry to accept the partnerships offered by governments, NGOs, and foundations.


Such partnerships could increase the Ministry’s capacity to regulate service providers, further ensure ethical adoptions and expand services to more families and children.


We, respectfully urge the Ministry of Women’s, Children's and Youth Affairs to reconsider its plan and to partner with governments, NGOs and foundations to achieve their goals and avoid the coming tragedy for children and families.
