Gussy Sews Week 5

It is Thursday and time to link up with Gussy Sews Inspiration Linky Party. 

This week's prompt is Perfect Bathroom.  I have actually struggled with this one...to me a bathroom is a bathroom.  I guess I don't get too excited about bathrooms.  That isn't to say there aren't beautiful bathrooms! 

So, as I dealt with my child's slobber, snot, crankiness, and clingyness today, I was trying to think of what inspires me about bathrooms and what would I want in a dream bathroom.  It then hit me!  I mean why didn't I think of this before!  My dream bathroom can be summed up in one hyphenated word

SELF-CLEANING!

I mean wouldn't it be a dream if your bathroom was like a self-cleaning oven?!  All you would have to do is close the door, push a button, and wait awhile and wahlah...the bathroom is sparkling clean.

A Day of Play~Well for Boogie anyway...

It is week 4 of the Gussy Sews Inspiration Linky Party.  I had grand plans of getting out the water wings, splash table, and sunscreen for Boogie's first pool experience, BUT it didn't happen. sniff, sniff!! 

For some reason, Boogie thinks laundry is cupcakes and slides (sweet and exciting).  I, on the other hand, think of it as..well...a chore! 

Instead of fighting her on messing up my beautifully folded piles, I have decided to let her have fun with it...because ya know someday...like when she is 2 12...the laundry will be her chore playtime! 

Quite proud of my "smartness" to fold the laundry and lay it on the back of the couch all while Boogie is having fun tossing laundry over her shoulder.

Ok, well...she was 13 months on the 4, so this post is WAY late, but nonetheless here it is!  Wahoo!

Faith is:

walking all over~Mommy tired

doesn't like to fall on bum-bum~fussy pants

pulls up on everything~dare diva

loves shoes~like a little puppy

is happy to play with a box or a bib~LOL

decided green beans are good again~yipee

crinkles nose~ stink'in cute

new lovey blankie to snunggle with to help comfort~ sweet

giggles and gigggles when tickled by Mama~ melt your heart

Gussy Sews Week 3

It's that time of the week!  It's time to link up with Gussy Sews Linky Party.  This week's prompt is GREEN.  I have to admit this one was a bit harder for me.  I did, however, find myself noticing everything that is green. :)  Nothing really really got me though.  So, my inspiration may be a little s-t-r-e-t-c-h.

I am SO in love with this crafty creation!

They are the perfect flowers for me, really.  They never die!  My lack of watering it will actually keep them "alive."  You don't even want to water paper flowers 'planted' in coffee grounds do ya?!? 

Oh, you say, "hey, I wanna make that!"  Well, go right ahead and do it!  Just follow here.  That is what I did!

The girls have grown! Faith is even reading books to the girls. ;)

Inspiration: Kitchen

The next Gussy Sews Inspiration prompt is: Kitchens!  I am blessed to have a kitchen that has all the basics needed for cooking for my family, but it is not a dream kitchen.  So, that got me thinking...what would I want for a dream kitchen??  And, you know what came to my mind?!?! 

Is this sweet baby! 

I dream of a kitchenaid!  Someday my dream shall come true...pretty please!


I then thought of who do I love watching on design tv shows? Sarah from Sarah's House. I love all her color. It just makes me want to skip down the street!


And what would be better than having a kitchenaid match my kitchen island??  Uhh...nothing. :)

Somelittleone has found the stairs

I knew the day would come.

She found the stairs.

It is like keeping a bee from honey.

And, I am tired.

 I tried to steer her clear of the stairs.

See that hard hardwood floor below?

She didn't seem to be bothered by it.

Mama couldn't take her eyes off of it.

I tried the stern "no." and redirection.

Little Boogie would have none of it.

So, I caved.

Let her practice.

Hey, it is good gross motor..do ya blame me?!

Look Mom, "NO HANDS."





Little did she know there would be a new sheriff in town.

There is no doubt Faith loves her Daddy.  The feelings are mutual!
