I am still here!

I have been pretty MIA from this blog and my dear friend from church told me that I need to update! Thanks for the nudge Rachel! :)

We have been up to our eyeballs in house cleaning and fixing since I last visited you here. It all started on Spring Break with cleaning out almost every nook and crany of this house. It was a lot of work especially when you are carrying extra weight. :) I think I cleaned every day/night until the beginning of April when we put our house on the market. It sold in two days by the first couple who walked through the door. It was almost too good to be true...and well...it kind of was. Through inspections they found some problems we were not expecting at all...so $$$ are flying out of the wallet we did not expect. It is not a done deal in the selling of our house, but we are getting very close now. On the other side of the coin, we have spent many evenings after work and weekends looking at houses. I think we went to look at over 20 houses. Our first choice house ended up not working out. :( Our second choice house seems to be working out so far.

So, selling a house, buying a house, preparing for a baby, and deciding about if I go back to work fulltime next year has just about done me in. I think I am beyond exhausted mentally, physically, and emotionally. Hubby is at that point, too. We just keep praying God guides our steps and that we would not doubt His plan. I need to remember that over and over again.

On the baby end, I made it through my glucose test. I 'ordered' the yummy orange flavor. It was not too bad, but hard to drink fast. If I don't hear from the dr. by tomorrow, I passed the test and don't have to drink the stuff again.

I am starting to feel baby more and more. My belly will pop up and down at times and I just think that is so amazing. Baby seems to be pretty mild tempered because I don't feel her moving all the time. I think she is just in there chilling...just like her mom and dad like to do. :)

Tiny, but Mighty!

Today was our level 2 sonogram and even though I felt like I was in a sauna due to the heater going awry (felt bad for the staff working there...it was miserable), it went well. Little girl looked good and is still measuring small by a little over a week. The sonogram tech said she suggested a due date closer to July 11th. This kid may be asking to stop at 7/11 for a Slurpee. :) She was more modest this time around and we did not get a good look to confirm, but we still plan on a lavendar nursery. I just cannot tell you how blessed and relieved it is to hear that your child is developing well. It is amazing how the littlest things remind you of how special small blessings are. One of these days I will get off my laptop and head to the basement and scan a sonogram picture. We got a picture of her face today.

The question of late is "do you have a name?" Well, the short answer is 'no.' I do have a list and so far hubby has not gotten too excited about any of them, yet does not know what he likes. Typical guy????? What was your experience? I do have to say that I have one name that I have been playing with and each day it seems to sound more and more like a fit.

God continues to be teaching me about worry and trust and waiting on Him. We have a lot of decisions to make in the next few months.

I do want to keep remembering all the joy and this verse reminds me of joy.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

Get to see baby again!

We have our next sonogram on Thursday! I am excited and nervous all at the same time.

Stay tuned for an update on that. Praying for good report on everything!

More Thoughts on Worry

I have been thinking more about my last post. I truly think worry is like a disease. It can totally take over your whole thinking and it distances you from God. It is a little demons skeem to move you farther away from God. When I am in my worry thinking that is all I can think about!
The latest worry is going into a level 2 ultrasound. I qualify for this simply because of my age not because they necessarily saw something that was worrisome. But, when I have my worry hat on, I struggle with the 'what if's.'
Today, I was thinking about my worrying disease and how dishonoring that is to God. It is like I am saying God's work is not good enough. How can you judge a perfect God like that? Well, I seem to think I can when I am in the worry box.

This baby in my belly is completely designed by God and made just the way he intended. Maybe she will come out with a stamp on her little hiney saying, "Made perfect in His Image."
