Jelly Beans, Life, and Such

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  He is Risen!  Easter is such a great time to remember all that Christ has done in your life.  I have so much to be thankful for...I mean look at my baby girl!  Growing up so big!

I was going through a closet at my parent's house a few weeks ago and found a bag of baby clothes my mom had saved.  So, many questions I wish I could/would have asked my mom...  I know this dress was mine, but I would have loved to know the story behind it....like when did I wear it?  It fit Boogie perfectly and she looked so cute in my old dress.  Vintage at it's best!  The dress is in amazingly good shape and everyone loved it on her.  :)  The poof in her hair also generated quite a few smiles at church.

When I think of Easter candy, I think of Jelly Beans.  It was tradition for Jelly Beans to land in our Easter baskets as kids and even as grown ups!  Since this is the first Easter without my mom, I decided I needed some Jelly Beans.  I have to say, these Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans may be the best ones yet!  We will see if they hold their spot next year. ;)

I love this question mark imaging that looks like a puzzle.  This is a perfect image to describe this week. Some decisions are going to need to be made by the end of this week.  I have been praying about this all year really.  My Baby Leave is up and we need to decide if I am going back to teaching or not.  My heart is at home.  My heart is to care for my daughter full-time. My heart has some other really big things leading it.  BUT, life circumstances may not allow for this.  Will you join me in prayer?  Prayer that God would open the necessary doors for us and close the doors He does not want for our family.  I need wisdom!  I have been really unclear about what God really wants for us and I am trying to really listen this week.

So, here I am with all these life pieces and questions and seeking to see how it is all going to fit together.  Stay tuned!
Thanks friends!

The Hopscout Journey

Did ya know I was doing a contest?  LOL!  If you follow me on Facebook, then you are probably rolling your eyes right now because I have been posting info and my link for over a week. Daily. Almost Hourly!  It has been quite a ride and it continues until Monday night.  So, if you haven't voted AND you don't even need a Facebook account, then hop on over using this link.  Vote Here!

In the end, it does not matter whether I win/lose it really has been about the process and what I have learned.  I have really prayed that if this is something God wants for me then He will guide my steps and lead hearts to vote.  Of course, now that I have seen some of the videos of other contestants I feel embarrassed or like "I am totally not good enough for this" or "my video is not creative enough." Etc. Etc. Etc. NOT GOOD ENOUGH is a lie I have listened to in my head for a long, long time and even though God has healed so much of this and I have learned to not listen to those type of lies, I still fall into bad habits.

In closing, I will mention an atta girl!

I am proud of myself for stepping in front of a camera, writing a script for the video, and following it through to the end.

I will close with my little inspiration!

Mmmm pumpkin!

I maybe a little crazy!

So, I have entered this contest!  I am super excited about this opportunity.  An online toy company called Hopscout is having a contest to pick 5 Moms to join their online team of editors.  The first step was to post a video.  Once the video is posted people can vote on it.  The top 20 videos move onto the next level where the top 20 will receive a product to review.  From there 5 winners are choosen.

In a lot of ways, this opportunity is a little piece of a childhood dream for me. :)  Getting there is a little out of my comfort zone.  I mean, I posted a video on facebook of me having a tea party with dolls.  And, now I am asking for your vote and for you to ask your friends to vote for me.  Eeek!

Hop on over and cast your vote!  You can only vote 1 time, so it is easy, easy.

Thank you sooooooo much!

The funny fluffy black dog!

Faith loves my dad's dog!  She thinks he is the funniest little creature ever.  I guess when I think of a dog at my eye level I would be giggling, too.

Thought you would enjoy hearing her giggle that we LOVE!
