Hannah will be an orphan no more!
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you will remember my connection with Hannah from New Day Foster Home in China. You can read my first post on her here. I was going to blog about her again on Saturday, because of this post from New Day.but the weekend just flew by and then before I could even get a post ready to go, some amazing news was announced via FB. Hannah is matched with a family!! I was just in tears with thankfulness that this child has a forever Mom and Dad. Hannah lived with a severe heart defect prior to going to New Day, who sadly was abandoned by her family because they could not care for her and her heart needs. I mean sit on that for a minute....the only choice Hannah's family had in China was to abandon her in hopes that her life would be saved. That is amazing love even though it is completely heartbreaking and not how it should be. I mean look at how far Hannah has come! What a true miracle!

A Day of Pampering
I am linking up again for Gussy Sews Linky Party. This week's prompt is Pamper Yourself. Sure I can do that or at least dream about it!
First, lets start with my new favorite breakfast! Go check out Katie at Dashing Dish or find her on FB. I love her "Milkshakes." They truly are awesome. My favorite one is the peanut butter chocolate. Yummm! Oh, and you have to have a Tervis cup. I LOVE this cup. It keeps things cold almost forever with no sweat (or keeps things hot for your favorite hot drink, too).
And, what afternoon wouldn't be complete without a Sonic drink during happy hour. Half price is nice. :)
(no I don't own this sign, but it would be sweet)
I find it slightly crazy to see young girls getting pedicures. I didn't get my first pedi until practically my wedding day. And, I have been in love ever since!

Oh, and foot massages how I love you! Hubby (I know you are reading this) thanks for all the great foot massages. :)
Source And, lets just round out this fabulous pampering post with a trip to Hawaii. Love!
What do you like to do to pamper yourself?

A Day to Celebrate
July 3, 2010 Faith came home from the hospital. We celebrate 1 year home today!
Today was filled with a lot of thankful things! And, sadly today brings a lot of hard feelings, too. Onto the thankful things first shall we!
For one of my baby showers, my aunt got my mom this Hello Kitty waffle maker. My aunt makes Snoopy waffles for all her grandkids and it is something she is known for by her grandkids and even the adult grandkids still ask for Snoopy waffles! So, of course, she had to get one for my mom (they don't make the Snoopy one anymore since it is about 25 years old). I have been trying to decide what to do with the waffle maker for a long time. Sadly, I knew that my mom would not live to make Faith waffles. When my mom opened the gift, I was actually pretty sad realizing the reality of her illness. I knew that I wanted to make Faith's Homecoming anniversary from the hospital a little special since it really was such a big day for all of us. I didn't want to make it like a birthday since it is not her birthday. The waffle maker came to mind a few weeks ago and I knew that today was the day to bring it out. A special thing for sure, but definately a sad day, too.

Obviously, she loved the waffles. :)

Grab your water wings and join us for a dip!
Getting ready for her first pool experience!
Papa and Grammie were here last weekend and we decided it was the perfect day for a little pool time. No diving allowed in this pool with only about 6 inches of water. ;)
"Look Papa, I am in the water!"
Daddy helping Faith get used to the water.
It was great to see Faith enjoy all 5 minutes pool time!!
